Its asinine.
Kushner is an adviser. His daughter has been high level at his company and is smart as frick.
They could have people drafting a billion EOs from all sorts of directions and he relies on people in his inner circle to tell him what they think.
This is nothing but a positive, because you can guarantee that someone like Cruz would have signed this EO in a second. Liberals should be happy about this, but instead find a way to spin it as a negative.

Who's to say it did? Again, this was one of a myriad of EO drafts that are reviewed by POTUS & staff. If the press got their hands on this one, they surely had access to many and cherry picked to create this non story.
