Louis CK does arenas not comedy clubs. It's a pretty big failure of the security staff if someone can actually get on the stage at an arena.
I can see why it would be a little discomforting and lead to the analogy he gave.

He still does plenty of shows in comedy clubs when not on tour. Not sure where you got that information
