quote:Probably semantics, but i think guys may just be underrating the value of going for it when you have the opportunity. Houston has a crazy good defense, they're a QB away from being a legit contender. I don't know the financials of it though, to be honest.
NFL teams seriously overrate their draft picks.
Agreed, for these contenders (low second), he would absolutely be worth it.
As for Romo, from 2011-2014, he missed 2 games(not sure why, didn't look it up.) 2015 he was injured. And again, for all we know, he could have been healthy for the playoffs this season, so the "Romo can't be healthy for a playoff run" mantra seems a little overblown IMO.

quote:Yep. For example, here is a sample 2nd round draft. You really saying it isnt worth it to get Romo for this?

no they really don't. Build through the draft has been proven over and over again to be superior to building through trades and free agency. Unless you are a QB and only a QB away from winning it all you shouldn't even consider giving up more than a 4th rounder at best for Romo and even that's being generous for a guy who has won just 1 playoff game in his whole career. He makes Danny White look like Joe Montana.
