I knew this already also... These guys don't just fire people on a whim like some idiots suggest. They know well in advance who they are getting bf they let go of folks. Even in the Les situation, it was Jimbo, too much money, then it was Herman, played games, then it was O in the end I think LSU landed the right man FOR US. This will show in the coming years, the people that slandered this man should apologize because every move he has made really has paid dividends.

The man learned A LOT from some GREAT coaches and he's implementing their styles in his own way. You don't get the coaches we have on staff by being a no body or someone that isn't well respected around the country. These coaches could have went anywhere but obviously they know the plan and believe. If you say O is this dumb DL coach, well you're speaking for his entire staff that signed up as well. Morons

from some of our fans perspective coach O was a bad hire because he didn't fit their image of a home run hire. that image was a proven nationally recognized coach that would give them a big "wow factor". a lot of these fans never hired or fired a person in their life;much less had responsibility for the results of an organization. these fans painted themselves in a corner intellectually and their pride was wounded when we hired what they considered a local "good ole boy". and his resume' at ole missed stunk. of all the HC's around the country that were "hirable" I think coach O is as good or better. I DEFINITELY would have been happy with Fisher, Meyer or Saban. I THINK I would have been happy with Gundy or Herman. but Orgeron has really impressed me so far. I think he has indeed been preparing himself for a second shot at being HC and that showed by how he corrected our on the field problems immediately and how decisive he has been on firing coaches that he felt LSU could improve on. a senior executive has to have the best people to compete at a very high level. it seemed les miles had some of these guys but he inherited some of them. he got lucky with chavis due to the players we had but he made many really bone headed hires and promotions.

imo, LSU had some great teams with miles due to great players and average to poor coaching. I feel that coach O will be a better coach than miles simply by recruiting quality guys to fill team needs instead of class rating and letting his very competent coaches do their job.

I def have a want to believe this. I'm beginning to think maybe this was the right hire FOR US at THIS TIME. He is saying and doing all the right things...which is all we can ask until the first game of next season gets here.....which isn't soon enough!
