Nah. The protesting to date has been remarkable precisely because such huge numbers have turned out peacefully. The assholes from Cal need to be singled out precisely because they are the outliers. And to be clear - I hope Trump goes down the path of threatening the university's federal funding.

Sort of. I think it's very possible that all of this protesting will just exhaust the average American, thus diminishing the marginal utility of the next protest. However, these people are really only taking their cues from the Tea Pary protests - which arguably led more or less directly to a vast increase in political power (and ultimately the Trump presidency).
