A donor can set up a scholarship for anything and if a college doesn't accept it he'll find another college that will.
The weirdest I've ever read about was the cop shooter scholarship.
It was an endowment by a rich black guy who hated cops. The money was to be awarded each year to a black guy who finished his prison time for shooting a cop.

And this is exactly what is wrong with the judicial system.
The only thing someone should get after finishing their prison time for shooting a cop is a box, and a 4x8 hole 6 foot deep.
