I can't recommend black mirror strongly enough based on your preferences, although you absolutely NEED to be aware of a few things.

First and foremost, and I can't stress this enough, the first episode stinks. People hear all about how fantastic BM is (and trust me, it is) so they settle in for season 1 episode 1 and come away thinking they've been duped. This one (along with S2E3) are widely considered by FAR the worst episodes of the series. If I can offer a suggestion, I would strongly recommend skipping this episode as you get started. Which brings me to the next point..

Each episode stands on its own. Different story, different universe, different characters, everything. So skipping episode 1 isn't going to put you "behind" in any way or miss out on anything important.

If you like sci-fi/suspense I can't think of a better suggestion than Black Mirror. I would just highly recommend skipping the first episode to start. Also, as others have said though, it's not necessarily a "binge" show. It's really friggin good, but you aren't going to watch 5 or 6 in a row I wouldn't think.

That's fine and all except that episode 2 was absolutely horrible. NOTHING HAPPENED (except people sitting on exercise bikes) and I finally turned it off. The first episode was so silly and then the 2nd was so boring. I can't believe it gets so much better. Maybe I will just pick a random episode further down and give it one last shot.
