You definitely want to run some cat 6. If this is a large house you definitely want to have multiple wifi access points and having those hardwired is 10x better than a mesh solution like google wifi and others.

I still run ethernet to all of my TV streaming devices because why the hell not. No reason to go above cat 5e for those runs if you want to save a few bucks.

I really like my parent's outlets in their soffits outdoors. Makes decorating for Christmas super easy. Plus they've added some extra outdoor lightning in the back yard with it.

I'd get wire run for outdoor speakers on your patio. 10x cheaper than sonos.

I just did this.

I wired two cat6 to every room and two to certain places I wanted TV's along with cable.

I ran speaker wire even though I wasn't sure I'd need it. It's cheap and you can literally do it yourself with a home drill and a stapler before they close the walls in.

Single room with a HD Antenna and all my cable and cat6 coming into that room.

Outdoor outlets in soffit for Xmas lights

I wouldn't do USB--who knows how long we'll use it.

All LED lights.

Amazon is your friend. Save $$ and buy the shite yourself.
