I was sitting in a meeting yesterday at wok and we watched a film on workplace respect and tolerance. In one particular segment, a man called Bob walks up to one of the managers and says," I've been going through a change lately and I want to become a girl. From now on, I want my coworkers to start calling me Betty. And soon, I will start wearing women's apparel to work."
After this segment, it followed with a quiz question on whether the company should honor Bob's request. The answer was, yes!
We've gone nuts as a country.

I'll bet Bob/Betty was a Rice fan.

Why should Bob have to wear "women's apparel? Can't he simply believe that he is now a girl without altering his outward appearance?
Sorry. I think I should have used "she" and "her" when referring to Betty. :-(
