For me it would be Amsterdam. Its more laid back than Geneva and much less expensive....prices are on par with Dallas. There are a lot of young people living there which results in a lot of cool things going on. And like someone mentioned, lots of good food from a variety of cultures and good drink.....the craft beer scene is exploding there. The only drawback to Amsterdam is the weather is pretty shitty from October to May....cold and rain, rain, rain.

Both great towns, what do you like
more city life or mountains/ snow? Will your cost of living go up for Geneva? I'd think you'd have a lot more options for living in Amsterdam where you could save some money if you wanted or ball out, Geneva is gonna be expensive.

Also, are you going to have a car? I'd assume yes but I'd think Geneva would suck more without a car, being in the mountains public transportation is just not as efficient. Amsterdam you could easily live without a car.
