That is exactly right. The southeast (excluding FL) are no longer needed to win an election for the Republican Party, and the Southern Baptist Convention and Evangelical lunatics are out of the picture once the demographic transition takes place and they cannot possibly continue to suppress minority voters. The Great Lakes down the Plains into Texas and the interior West will become the conservative stronghold, and the South will be in the hands of various Democratic voting blocs.
