The fact that shite like this went down pretty damn recently in the grand scheme of things is a stark juxtaposition to where we are now.

The Ms Delta hasn't changed that much. I know restaurants that still instruct their wait staff to segregate their customers, farmers who have physically beat their workers, hell in 2003 a catfish farmer caught a black employee sleeping on the job and shot him under the chin while he was asleep. And was acquitted in court. There's a lake on the humphreys county line called "democrat lake" named for all the dead "democrats" thrown in there.
A lot of shite goes on here nobody really knows about.
