How many .45 revolvers do you see outside of a western movie?

I just happen to own two of them but they're both over fifty years old. (Inherited from my dad and an uncle, respectively.) A Colt 1917 DA Army model and a mid-60s S&W. So yeah, I guess most people don't come across them everyday. And both are way too bulky to carry with anything approaching comfort or concealment. But that 1917 is a pistol whipper's dream.

My point exactly

If you are so lucky as to own one of these things, it is not the kind of thing you'd carry around with you into a bar full of drunk bikers. You could sell it and buy a dozen knock-off 1911s.
