When one group believes in an entirely different set of facts, you can't reconcile that with conversation. And I shouldn't even say "believe" because it puts it in their language. Facts are knowable, and your belief in or against them makes no difference.
They believe Obama was not born in this country. They believe Hillary ran a satanic cult. They believe trickle down economics work. They believe our economy was worse under Obama than under Bush.
This isn't a small number of people, this isn't a crazy fringe. This is 45% of the country. They have a collective paranoia and delusion that respects nothing but strength and power, and if you deal with them in a civil manner they will gladly break the laws and traditions of this country to cut you down.
