I'm going to make softball, basketball, and soccer off limits. I'd say volleyball, golf and tennis are prolly ok, along with the usual cheerleading, dance and gymnastics. I just don't want my little girl growing up and wishing she was a man instead. Am I looking at this wrong?
For me cheerleading, softball, and basketball are pretty much off limits in that order.
I'm hoping for soccer with volleyball or tennis being being very acceptable.
Dance and/or gym on the side.

Best way to make sure she does something. Tell her it's off limits.

The games may not seem like much, but all the practice and drills most definitely keep kids active.
My SIL is a top HS player and she's extremely active. She likely works out more than most guys here.

My daughter started playing soccer at age 3. She loves it.
Even though she is terrible.

when my daughters told me that they were not playing softball anymore, I almost started cutting flips with excitement.

So you are afraid that your daughter will turn out like this? Don't you want her to have good ball handling skills?
If anything, I would not allow gymnastics or higher level cheerleading with gymnastic moves, since those are the two sports with higher percentage of serious injury. All the others are worthwhile healthy pursuits.
