I'm just using it as an example. I'm not saying that the car buying process needs to mimic apple. What I am saying is that the whole car buying process needs to go back to the drawing board

For what you're suggesting to work, there;d have to be many more decision makers to be available to the customers. I don't think it's particularly feasible.

One way that might help would be if you limit the options on vehicles so they aren't as many prices and values they need to keep up with, but who would really want that?

well you could always go to the dealership (or call) and pay them exactly what they are asking. They won't dick around with you at all, if you are willing to pay the sticker price. It seems to work well in grocery stores, clothing stores, etc. You don't haggle over the price of a six pack or your athletic shoes, do you? No, you simply pay what is asked. You have the same option with dealerships.
