NFL Playoff Format

They need to expand the playoffs to get rid of the byes. Teams that have to play 3 games instead of 2 just to get to the Super Bowl is very hard to overcome. I understand having home field and more importantly the bye but having to play an extra NFL game while the team waiting for you gets to sit back and rest is not in the best interest of competition.

Dallas came out in a coma after the bye and it hurt them IMO.

The early round games have proven to be tough to watch. No need to have more of a potentially worse thing.

I like the format. Only thing that bugs me is when an 11-5 team who came 2nd in their division has to travel to a 7-9 division winner during wild card weekend.

With the exception of disqualifying sub .500 teams from the playoffs I wouldn't change the NFL playoff format.

The only thing wrong with the NFL format is seeding. Winning the division should guarantee you a spot not a home game. Seeding needs to be based on record. Sadly it's not going to happen until it negatively affects a popular team.
