Seinfeld (and The Dick Van Dyke Show, Barney Miller) were smart enough to pull the plug before they had a terrible season. Seinfeld went one step further by giving us a truly terrible series finale, showing us how badly the series was in danger of sucking.

Seinfeld is tops when it comes to cool comedy, but the original Andy Griffith show and Barney Miller are equals in overall quality.

I'm going to take Larry David's back and say that the finale gets way too much critique. It was humorous, played up the nostalgia by bringing back a ton of characters, and it ended with the same debate as the pilot. It's not a top episode for me, but I didn't think it was terrible by any means.

And going back to the argument for Curb over Seinfeld. I love Curb, but too many of the episodes have situations in which there should really just be one side to an argument. Either Larry or the other character getting mad at him is typically way off base with their argument. For me, it distracts from the humor quite a bit. George is my favorite Seinfeld character, but a whole show of George humor, which is what Curb is, can get tiresome.
