We just got the notice that all regulations being sent to the Federal Register are to be halted, and that any that were just passed, will need to be re-approved and/or that their deadline is to be extended for another 60 days.
As someone that works in the environmental field, not sure how I feel about all of this.

That actually sounds like a prudent course for ANY change in the administration, no matter what "side" one leans toward.

I don't know how you should feel since it's your career field, but you may want to start looking to a different field if this is any indication on the future.
ETA: But as udtiger stated above, as a taxpayer and a consumer, it's music to my ears.

I was told this is something that normally occurs during an administration change.

Well, there was a great push by all agencies to get out anything they had been working on, in hopes of beating the new administration. It is cutting both ways.
