TPP would've increased US influence in the region, weakened China's, and on top of that add jobs in the US.

How? It would have increased CORPORATE influence and power at the expense of governments and regular citizens.

One potential advantage of the TPP that was cited is that it undermines Chinese influence in the South China Sea. It would give the US more authority to fight countries stealing our IP.

It would also purportedly help US citizens because lots of tariffs (Obama said it was 18,000+, bipartisan people agreed) that are placed on the US would be removed, evening the playing field for our domestic manufacturing.

I don't know if it would be a net positive or negative. I would think it would be a positive, although we had to make some concessions that Trump camp contended undermined our sovereignty. However, I am less likely to believe them because a) Trump thought the TPP involved China, which is kind of unbelievable, and b) he lied or was incorrect in a WSJ op-ed about Chinese currency manipulation.

Not all of this can be consolidated into nice crisp campaign slogans, so I can understand why this board hasn't really delved into any of these considerations in an earnest way. I can see why people have said you were a liberal on here though.
