How often are infantrymen issued handguns nowadays anyway? I'm guessing these will be used mostly by security forces.

Was standard issue in Iraq and Afghanistan.

Tankers are each issued a pistol as our side arm. I just missed the M1911 by a year or two. By my time we got the M9 Barretta 9mm. I loved the M9.

I read about this yesterday and found it interesting they didn't say what version of the P320 they'll be going with. Will they stay with the 9mm like we had on the M9 or will they change back to a .45?

Officers and if ranger as I was you go thru special weapons trng...and carry what u need
