Bonds was the best player I've ever seen. Not only was he hitting homeruns at a record clip but he got on base a ton and stole a shitload of bases. Juiced or not he was incredible.

Michael Milken was the best financier I ever saw...lying and cheating whatnot...he made the most money for himself and his investors and was incredible.

(Bonds was a great player pre-roids; but he's mythologized by most people posting who only saw him jacking homeruns like a video game.) Bonds wasn't Paul Bunyan, he was one of the best players but he wasn't talked about as best ever...I grew up in that era...Bonds was another great player...very good player...he wasn't salivated over like when he was jacking 70 homeruns with the head the size of a a Durian fruit.

Bonds is obviously better than Trout but the Bonds apologists need to stop. Bonds wasn't this transcendent player until he started shooting the shite into his veins. Sorry your childhood hero cheated to get better. And it made him a LOT better. He was extremely good...couldn't throw out Sid Bream...but he wasn't this guy is the best player on the planet pre-roids.

Thats why he took roids. He felt he wasn't getting the love and accolades from the public and press.

Agreed. His 1990-1998 stretch is one of the most impressive I've seen in any sport; nearly every year was a gold glove, silver slugger, and MVP/POY.

And to the Griffey fan later in this thread, lol.
