Stout recs are good too.

Staying in the Lakewood area, and except for being downtown tomorrow evening for a show I'll be all over. Plan on ubering quite a bit.

Staying in the Lakewood area

Perfect......that's where I live. All these places are an easy Uber ride from Lakewood.

Meddlesome Moth....its over close to American Airlines arena so its the furthest from Lakewood on my list. Probably the best selection in Dallas but not by much. Good food but a little more "Dallas" than I prefer.

Craft & Growler....over by Fair Park, great selection with emphasis on local stuff.

Strangeways- My favorite place.....just a laid back place, kind of funky, owned by a brother & sister (Venezuelan maybe) who tend bar there during the days/ early evenings. Named after the Smiths album Stangeways Here We Come. They always have the most eclectic tap list with a fair number of sours.

Lakewood Growler- on Mockingbird at the northern edge of Lakewood....small place with a pretty good tap list....more of an older crowd here.

Dots Hop House- New place in Deep Ellum, huge outdoor courtyard with a good tap list. I've been once and liked it but I was with a group.....and its seems more like a place to go with some friends than by yourself.

Brain Dead Brewing- In Deep Ellum, Brew Pub that has their stuff and other breweries stuff on tap. Nice place to hang with an nice outdoor area.....right across the street from Pecan Lodge Barbecue....you should go to Pecan Lodge for sure....one of the best BBQ places in Texas.

That should keep you busy.

ETA: Noble Rey Brewing has a new tap room at the Farmers Market. I haven't been but there stuff can be good.....but they seem to be concentrating on the middle of the road stuff....I had an IPA of theirs when they first opened the brewery that was great but they never released it.

Texas Ale Project has a cool brew house in Downtown near the Margaret Hunt Hill Bridge....its a cool space and they do good beers.
