It's not like what he's saying is prolific. You could just as easily say he made a name for himself at TT where they threw it 50 times per game and never heard of a defense.
Run whatever system you want! I think those old curmudgeony stuck in the mud offenses in the SEC did perfectly fine the last few decades on a national scale.

You're ignoring major parts of history in saying this if you're saying "the last few decades." (i.e. Spurrier and Meyer in back to back decades succeeding with their offenses, and how people were skeptical with Meyer in particular on how his offense would succeed in the league).
