Pissgate as reported by the mainstream press was based upon an executive summary derived from an actual report compiled by an actual investigator and briefed up to the actual president and president-elect of the United States by the country's senior intelligence officers. CNN covered the fact that the report existed and that it alleged Russian attempts to compromise the president-elect. Mainstream reporting left out the salacious details and emphasized that even the allegations of compromise were uncorroborated.

How the hell is that fake news? Pizzagate was fake news. Something based in fantasy and conjecture. This was real news. It just happened to be real news you didn't like. Buzzfeed was the only semi-serious media outfit that went into the naughty details.
