The vast majority of people bringing us the "news" are no longer reporters of yesteryear. What they do now any high school senior could do. Read what is printed on the monitor and accept it as the gospel. Reporting is investigating the story first and adding personal comments second.
That is no longer the norm with today's media. Rather sad actually.

Any message they send isn't their own. They are professional posturers. They read about what others have done or are doing, put on makeup, dial up a fake smile, and talk. They are talkers in a world that was built by doers - much like today's politicians.
