Your contention seems to stem from the lack of perfection in predictive capabilities of IQ tests. Would IQ tests allow us to better guide children? I think the answer is undoubtedly yes.

I've actually had thoughts on the viability of a businesses that contracts high-IQ, low income high school students with employers.

I'm still convinced tech companies would be too worried about the ramifications of using IQ as a predictor

That's the thing, it hasn't really been established. So while it theoretically should be a good guide, it hasn't been established how that works. Then you get into the issues of inter- and intra-individual comparisons and profiles. It's complicated.
