No it's probably good to find their strengths to guide them; it's good for anybody. I'm just not sure it's cost effective at this point, and what kind of test (IQ, aptitude, achievement, etc.) is another consideration as well.

Start with a list of every job ever, for right now.
Add qualities need for these jobs.
Make sure students know these options.
Some are blue/dirty jobs. They pay well, and dirty hands make clean money.
