To go with my full time job I am finishing up this grad program with database design class and a ethical hacking class. Just so you have context on why I get pissed off at generalizations about my laziness, cultural limitations.

You might also find yourself a little less amused by these semantic differences if you were one of the groups routinely admonished on here in such general and unsupported terms.
the vast majority of it is well supported.

like a 7.5 and 8.0. both are also 25-26

both also live in the country away from where i live so nobody would ever have to see me with them

All this considered, yes, but only both at the same time. Use the floor if you must.

Do the issues in those schools not start at home?

generations of uneducated, raising poorly educated chirren.

break the cycle.

1. no children for people making under federal poverty level. you can't afford them.
this goes to the anti abortion position of the majority of TD.

2. head start programs work. 2 good meals and a start to education that mom can't do for them.

3. make unemployed moms go to school to receive support. teach 3 r's and how to use business and clerical equipment so they can do jobs. tie in with interviewing skills, speech class 101.

4. look at the career path of kids 12 to 15. put them in apprentice programs.
learning a trade.

SQL

no doubt. variants abound in work places. and select-ing from the rows and columns of data is something people can grasp as a real life exercise.

once he is solid with SQL, then JAVA. simple problems. lots of documentation.
no line of code unexplained.

A huge waste of time and resources? Yep. Could be significantly better? Most definitely.

"Bad", compared to other countries? Not really.

If a position for an English II teacher comes up at either school they will get over 50 applicants from which to choose.

It's probably more than that. The public schools here (run of the mill) will get 350 applicants for a teacher opening.

There is zero reason why all American school districts do not receive the same amount of funding.

bullshite.

The community I live in voted to pay higher property taxes to support our local school system. A law suit was filed and our higher property tax above the state level that we designated for our local school system was taken to support the general school fund. We still pay the highest property tax in the state.

This is wrong.

I grew up poor. Every kid I ran with graduated college and improved their life.

The quality of education is far more dependent on the quality of student than the quality of schools or teachers.
