I built mine.
Ballistic advantage 8.3 Premium barrel $220

SLR SOLO Series M LOK 7.3 Hangaurd $175

FailZero BCG $160

Black rain Ord Stripped upper $129

Upper parts kit $17
LINK
Just need a castle nut and Pistol length gas tube and low profile gas block and you're good to go. Should cost more than $100 to have it put together.
For about $750-$850 you can have a really good upper.
