Few things are worse than looking back on your life and regretting that you didn't do something that was easily accomplished. So no. Go to all the shows you can while you can.
That's pretty much how I've managed to rationalize these decisions.
There were so many shows I missed out on from 18-24 because I was reluctant to go by myself or drive more than an hour to watch a performance.
But, the fact is that I'm unmarried, I have no kids, I'm not in debt, and I just so happen to have enough free time this spring to make some of these trips I normally would have to turn down.
I figured, what the hell, you only live once.

Can I live while I'm young?

Yeah man if I could talk to the 18 year old you I would say not to EVER be reluctant to go to a show by yourself. I've done it many times and would've missed some fantastic ones if I hadn't.

Hell yeah. Go for the gusto man. Getting married and having children will definitely cut down on the number of shows you can attend and I'm speaking from experience. Now that my daughter is away in college and my son is a sophomore in HS I'm finding my way back to catching more and more shows again. I'm just happy I still love it so much. Oh and it also doesn't hurt that I travel for work now for months at a time sometimes and catch shows on the road too.
As long as I'm able-bodied I'll be catching shows into my 70's if possible. That's the plan at least.
