There are two sides to that coin, though. It may seem counterintuitive, but as people live longer, we actually need higher birthrates. More people. The old naturally reach a point past productivity and we will keep them alive because we're not barbarians. That used to be 5 years or so. Now it's 25 or 30.

Too many of the wrong people have the most children is what you're getting at. That's a fact. They made a comedy about it some time ago.
