Why is it that moderately successful coaches come to LSU and completely fail? Is it the multiple coaches? Is it the multiple AD's who chose them? When you have that many coaches come through and fail, I really have to wonder what else is going on. Poor fan turnout, poor facilities, poor support of the team? 18 year olds want to play in front of a lot of people and feel like superstars. I don't think that most top rated talented kids want to come to LSU where football, baseball and gymnastics reign supreme when they can go to Kentucky, Duke, or North Carolina and get the media attention that they crave. Louisiana has great basketball talent every year who chose to go out of state, Greg Monroe comes to mind off the top of my head. To be honest, I can't even remember the first round pick that LSU had a couple of years ago. His name escapes me (but losing Greg Monroe...I remember). I'm an average LSU fan/Alum. Perhaps that's part of the problem.
