Obama certainly did a bang up job there.

And if we'd stayed, you would be whining about the SOFA that allowed US troops to be charged under Iraqi laws. If you look long enough for something to whine about, you'll inevitably find it.

Yes and no. Obama made the best of many bad decisions, and those decisions were forced upon him by Bush's unforced mistakes.

Same could be said of the recession. It's almost as if removing regulations on the banking industry can make them more reckless, which can lead to disaster. Let's see how that turns out when Republicans try it this time!

you do realize that if Wall Street wasn't so highly regulated, these investment ideas/vehicles would have likely never been created?

these advanced securities were created to get around the complex regulations, which made their danger increase. without the regs, they wouldn't have been created b/c there wouldn't have been a demand for these

more regs = more complex and unstable securities

That has nothing to do with the complete clusterfrick Obama made of the entire region.

Like repeal of the ACA, illegal gun control, or voter identification requirements...

Interesting. Let me try...

Bush made the best of many bad decisions, and those decisions were forced upon him by Clinton's unforced mistakes.

It's almost like Bill Clinton signed more financial deregulation legislation that any other president in history. It's almost like Bill Clinton destroyed American manufacturing with bogus trade agreements. It's almost like Bill Clinton expanded an already ineffective and wasteful war on drugs, domestically and internationally.

If you want to have an accountability, here I am. The difference is that I can admit where my "side" fricked up. I'd just ask that you do the same.
