So what you're saying is that Russia and a slew of powerful global Oligarchs, over 5 years ago, chose Donald Trump to be their Manchurian candidate?
Because 5 years ago they had the foresight that Trump could actually win the US election?
And in the process of trying to get their Manchurian candidate into the White House, the full extent of their "influence" revolved around password phishing emails sent to DNC staffers and THEN publishing emails showing factual real events?
Are you really sure this is the angle you want to run with?
