Years ago, I was in court (in Texas) waiting for a civil hearing and there was a plea in the DUI case. The man was found guilty, even though the prosecution had a terrible case (jury found the man guilty). The defendant called his lawyer a "retardo" and referred to the Judge as "frickface" and said he didn't "give a shite what the Judge did to him."

The man was held in contempt. I told everyone at my office about the idiot I saw in Court. Phone rings - it is the Judge appointment me on the contempt charge.

I initially read this wrong.

So what was the outcome of the contempt charge? Did he learn his lesson?
