Seriously?

Irrational beliefs:
Mary is a virgin.
Jesus died for three days but came back to life.
Mary ascended to heaven.
Eve was created out of the rib bone of Adam.
You're eating the literal body and blood of Christ when you take communion.

The list goes on.

Hateful beliefs:
Slavery is ok.
Homosexuality is a sin and should be punished if you act on your homosexuality.
Nonbelievers, the sexually immoral (whatever that means), liars and idolaters all burn in hell.

I'm sure I'm missing a couple.

ETA: You're not a salad bar Christian, are you?

Irrational is debatable because like all religions faith plays a key role. But faith also plays a key role in your unbelief. Some of those you listed can also be explained as not to be taken literally. I will continue on because I do not think this is the crux of the argument that we are after.

Now hateful is another matter entirely, how can you justify that those beliefs are hateful? You are overgeneralizing some and it would benefit your arguments to read them in context. so you should probably avoided those to base your argument off of. Search for one that your truly believe to inherently hateful/evil and we can debate that.

Since when was the bible supposed to be taken literally? I went to Catholic school from K-12 and was always taught it was to be taken contextually, not literally.
