But if he can be as good of a fielding catcher as he is a fielding shortstop and learn how to call games well he can make it to the bigs easier because it is a position where your bat is less important.

I see your point and I'm sure its probably the driver behind the move, but he's also 27 years old at this point. A position change doesn't look great for his future. Oh well how many people can say they played AAA ball like he has. He'll make it back to baton rouge and get a nice gig and be loved by all LSU fans. Pretty nice career anyway.
