What bulbs did you buy for the recess cans? I have read that not all LEDs will work in recess lights because the heat from LEDs gets directed upward instead of down.
We have roughly 25 recess lights in our house, and they currently all have the Philips mini twist 900 lumens CFLs in them, and I would like to move toward LED.

Heat from an LED shouldn't be an issue at all. I put these in 25 recessed fixtures in my house 3 years ago and couldn't be happier.
