This opinion might not be popular, but it sounds like the Bills are operating within the terms of the contract.
The same can be said about statistical incentives. The teams are the ones that risk winning or losing from benching a player to potentially avoid paying incentives. You hear it all the time, it's a business. Things can get nasty with this level of negotiating occurring.
Having said all that, I think Taylor outperformed public expectations when given the contract, and did well for the bills, so it's nevertheless a pretty shitt thing to do
