I had an old ford ranger and the gas pedal bracket broke on me in BR one night and the only way I could get it to work was to pull the pedal towards me... the truck was a standard so you can see there was gonna be some complications. I could only get up to 35 mph so I got in the slow lane on airline and put my hazard lights on to warn other drivers. When I got to Prairieville, a state trooper pulled me over. I told him the problem and he informed me it is against the law to drive with hazard lights on and it's for emergencies only and my situation was not an emergency. He didn't give me a ticket but he did make me pull over and call to get a trailer to load it up in. I used to be uniformed as well.

Maybe the Trooper was wrong, just like AAA is wrong and LSUVCAWHATEVER is right.

Well if a state trooper said that then I stand corrected.
