I don't think the OP is trying to be cool -- he has a point. Clearly, the performance of the team on the floor is the biggest driver of keeping or firing a coach.

But money and attendance are big factors too. An empty arena and lower donations will get an ADs attention real fast.

I doubt TV ratings are that important to an AD, but maybe to a small extent.

So the OP is essentially correct. If you're upset, vote with your feet and wallet.
