Many firms find more value in marketing to multiple demographics. This is particularly true for large, nationwide corporations that absolutely need customers from multiple racial groups.
The fact that there are so many mixed-demo couples in commercials is not evidence of some insane global media conspiracy. It's simply evidence that it works.

And yet that same formula, applied to mainstream TV and Movies, does not work. So why do they continue to purvey it?
