quote:Is there a significant difference running things through Kodi on the TV vs the stick? I was thinking about using a stick on the TV where my Apple TV is already hooked up and then buying the FireTV box for the bedroom.
The FireTV shits on the FireStick in general. Vue was slow to navigate on the stick, but it flies on the FireTV, as does every other app. Definitely worth the upgrade.

What do yall do for your NBC/CBS/Fox shows? (I'm assuming you get the channels but they arent "local" unless you use the antennae?) Pardon my ignorance on the subject.

quote:I think it runs smoother on the FireTV in general, but I haven't messed with a FireStick in awhile. I upgraded to two FireTVs because I was tired of it just being slow to open and navigate different apps. I'd put the stick in your bedroom if you only watch TV in there occasionally.

quote:Depends on your location. I have an antenna to watch the local channels live, which are ABC/CBS/FOX/NBC. If you are in or near a big city, Vue may already have the locals included into their packages. PSVue and DTVnow both offer On Demand streaming for ABC/FOX/NBC, which basically means that you can watch their shows the day after they air live, with limited commercials. PSVue has recently added the local CBS affiliate to their lineup in my area, so no need for the antenna with that channel anymore. Hopefully the other locals follow suit soon so that I don't have to keep switching television inputs.
