Its cyclical...the earth is wobbling ...the Arctic getting more direct rays...Antarctic not getting as much...of course the climate is always changing

Siberia has been extra brutally cold so far this season.

That may make sense when you think about it, since 90% of people live above the equator. You would expect more melting in the north in this case.
