3 weeks ago I would have said there was no way they wouldn't win at least 6-7 SEC games. Now, 3-4 is probably more realistic. The team has quit on Jones (they actually quit last year, but the powers that be either were too dumb to see it, or just didn't care).

Clearly the coaching staff recognizes the problems on defense. But whatever Jones is telling them has no effect. I think the players are done with him. It's 5 games of 1-on-1 out there, and Jones has no idea how and/or authority to get them to play as a team.

Yet again, Joe Alleva and the school pres are a day late and a dollar short in doing anything. Sadly, there is no accountability above Jones. The President doesn't give a shite, therefore Alleva's abysmal job is immaterial.

This is honestly the harsh reality Alt and it can't be gotten around are dismissed anymore. There are too many athletes with length on this team to surmise anything else when you see consistent defensive performances like this.

I think this has been going on for a while, it's just gotten worse IMHO, especially after what happened last year. Basketball coaching ain't that complicated. Most coaches teach many of the same principals the same way. I just think some are better at compelling their players to do these things with consistency better than others. CJJ really seems to struggle more than most here from what I can see. And many of the players on this year's team were on last years team. How much do you think they respect Johnny after being witness to that?
