Yeah frick progress

It isn't progress if it kills the job market.

How about figuring out how to get people on welfare to stop reproducing then we can discuss this robot utopia you desire.

Then basically we have to directly sabotage any and every technology being currently built. We're a little over 2 decades before the estimated arrival of the Singularity. We don't know what will happen then, but one thing is for certain: humanity's jobs will be focused almost solely on where creativity is required by the time it comes to fruition. No more drivers, no more factory workers, no more people working at call centers, no more janitors, no more fast food employees or garbage collectors.

Basically, we're doomed to be a welfare state as the whole world is concerned, and soon, especially with the driverless car being a reality. The only thing we can do is sabotage companies around the world through the government (i.e.: extreme communism or fascism) nuclear war, or an extreme increase terrorist like activities to stifle technology's growth. Other than that, the progress to this is completely inevitable.
