The man will retire in 5-10 years from Bama. Get over it. I know we'd all love to see him go due to his dominance over LSU the last 5 years, but it's not happening. He'd be an idiot to jump ship for an NFL job when his legacy is firmly entrenched as possibly the best college coach of all time, second only to Bear. Just stop. There's a -100% chance he goes to the NFL for any team.

No, there is 0% chance people here will stop speculating about Saban leaving Alabama.

He left LSU on Christmas Eve, maybe he'll decide to do the same this year.

The rumblings have been going on for a while. He may well sit and spin his wheels in the trailer park but its not unthinkable he gets the urge to prove his merit on a larger stage. I agree that Bama is his last college stop.

Saban is about to become the first coach to $10 million. He'll use every NFL job as leverage and Bama will easily bump him up with no questions asked. It goes even smoother if he wins the championship this year.

People are saying Saban is leaving Bama for the pros. Is this true?

Please stop telling others what to do, especially when they're speculating on coaching changes on the Coaching Changes board.

That being said, the only way Saban leaves bama is in a coffin.

Saban had his head handed to him on a silver platter in the NFL. Like him or not he isn't stupid. He knows where he is out of his element.

He will stay, of course, but it seems to go counter to so much of what makes Saban the success he is.

In other words, he's created a culture and infrastructure that, while not exactly on auto-pilot, comes pretty close. The program truly reloads and sells itself, so he and his staff can focus on the granular details like few others...and that results in an absurd W-L record year after year.

Does a man who is truly so driven, so committed to excellence, really okay deep down with being viewed as a failure at his sports highest level? All of the favorable comparisons to Bear and such are always going to come with the rejoinder of, "but he couldn't cut it in the NFL".

Mark me down as someone who thinks he'd kill it if he tried again. I think he's learned so much at both building and sustaining success at Bama that'd translate better than it did 10 years ago.

"Please stop with the Saban speculation... The man will retire in 5-10 years from Bama."

Do you have inside sauces? Or is that speculation?
