I thought by now we would be hearing rumblings of JJ being fired.

Is this a joke? That's all I see on here. Even after last night's win!! "JJ scedules cupcakes." "LSU beating the cupcakes." "Wait until LSU plays somebody good."

This is not an attack on you because it wasn't the point of your post, but folks on here can't stand the fact that LSU basketball is exceeding expectations. P.S., minus last season's setback, JJ had steady progressions every year. So, this year is no exception.

LSU basketball now has a 62 RPI going on the road to play #20 Thursday. With an upset win, we enter conference play on the bubble if not last 4 in the NCAAs.

A lot has to happen (including a win Thursday), but this LSU team is not garbage. I think this is a good team. If they can improve defensively, this team can make some waves.

Man I enjoyed the game last night. Fun game. I wish we would have played a little less tight in that 6 minute to 1 minute left stretch. We basically shelled up on offense and tightened up on defense. Once they tied it up we started playing looser again which was a big reason for the 10-0 ending. HUGE for confidence.

I get so frustrated occasionally with shot selection and the careless turnovers we had at times last night.

I really think we have some good to elite passers in the post with Duop and Craig. If you get the ball in to those guys and cut players to the basket, they will find open guys when the double team comes.

We can complain about post defense all we want but I think the biggest issue on defense is allowing penetration far too often. I think we are better this year at getting through screens but we have allowed far too much penetration that causes open post players.

I was very happy that we were able to stay out of serious foul trouble last night with a dribble driving team like C of C last night. Defense played pretty well last night.

Man the Wake game is gonna be a very tough one but what a huge opportunity it is for LSU.

Are we? I'll get we aren't losing to as many teams as we shouldn't as we did early last year, but who have we beaten that we should not have this year? Honestly?

And that's exceeding expectations?

I'm pulling for us jptiger, and my hope is we do exceed expectations.

But by that I don't mean the watered down expectations that are only so low because of what happened last year and why. I'm talking about the real expectations for and actually pretty decent team talent-wise, not so much talent as last year but not as bad as some would like to portray it.
