They don't make it that easy. Pretty much the only solution is low tech and time consuming. Hook up something like a DVD recorder to your DVR and record the playback.

^^^^ What he said, which will be a long process. I've read where people removed the hard drives (voids warranty), and have somehow broken the encryption code. Good luck with that.........
